Volunteer Schedule

KW Kiwanis Music Festival Dates:
• April 7th to April 18th, 2025
• Daytime, Evening and Weekend Shifts available

Time Commitment:
• Volunteer shifts are 3.5 hours each, Volunteers may sign-up for one or more shifts.
• Typically, the morning shifts run from 8:30am-12:00pm, afternoon shifts run from 1:00pm-4:30pm, and evening shifts run from 6:00pm-9:00pm

Training Sessions:
Volunteers must attend one training session. Available options are:
• Wednesday March 26th at 7:30 – 8:30 pm
• Sunday March 30th at 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteer Roles
• Venue Greeters: Welcome participants and direct them to their classes and warm up rooms. Put signage out before the morning shift and bring signage in after the last shift.
• Class Attendants: Take attendance as students arrive at their classes and let participants and guests into the room at the appropriate time.
• Adjudicator Assistants: Seat participants and collect their music to hand to the adjudicators, give the class introduction (scripts will be provided), and ensure adjudicators have everything they need.

What is required to become a festival volunteer?
• No experience necessary…new volunteers are welcome!
• Have a positive, helpful, and friendly attitude to make participants feel welcome.
• Must be available for at least one full shift and volunteers may sign up for multiple shifts.

• Volunteers will be contacted in February with information on how to sign up for volunteer shifts.
